John, Roberts,
Thanks for this version of big DSL, I think it's very useful for a lot of people who need a simple and more complete basic version.
Perhaps a new background, diferent from DSL, helps to differentiate this two distros. |

Interesting that you used the name "big DSL" instead of DSL-N
I also think that would be a better name than DSL-N.. we will see...

I hope they will keep it under 100M.. (my opinion) |

The "N" makes me think of "nano"...but I don't really care
I think a 180MB cap would be better, so you can fit it on those Mini-CDs. (Not the business-card ones like regular DSL). |

As I can buy DVD:s cheaper than CD:s (also the smaller ones) the CD -size -limit is no issue to me. (I think the small DVD is 1,7GB..)
However I really like to run DSL from RAM. And when running from RAM it is good to have a small base system..
Maybe it isn't so good idea to have a fixed size limit. It might be better to just keep it as small as possible without making any too big sacrifices and without bloating it with too many applications... |
