| The idea of a bigger alternative is great for newer hardware but I cannot use Gaim and Mozilla browser on my computer. I still use DSL with Firefox and the web based client for chat. Where can I find a tutorial to set Gaim correctly? |

to use GAIM it need SSL and yes i also went to Gaim FAQ but they dont have support for DSL-N only for debian and other distro.
ANyone know or can use GAIM in DSL-N please let me know

| uhm, DSL-N is based on debian. what are you trying to setup in gaim? |

i just try to run it through the menu IM and it said cant log in...require SSL
this is for hotmail username account |

I use Gaim nicely with DSL-N. I use IRC, ICQ, MSN and GG protocols without any problem. The only problem I once had was that things (GG in particular) couldn't log on if it was using a proxy server. I use IRC via an SSH tunnel with no troubles though.
I'd like to help more if I can, but it has generally worked without any problems, sorry. |

I used Live CD RC2 and the following error after log in hotmail username account:
"SSL support for MSN. Please install a supported SSL library."
DId u install GAIM from binary package or the built in one on DSL-n? |
