I followed the suggestion about making init.d writeable, but cannot get past username and password to log in to localhost 631.
I would really like to get a printer hooked up as dsl-n is compable to puppy and installs on more of the machines I try to set up to donate to young people in our community.

Yes, there is still a bug there.
I am close to an a3 cut in which others are helping to test printing.
So hang on, this is alpha. But will be fixed in the next alpha cut, a3.
Look for a3 in site news. Thanks for your patience, testing, and feedback. |

I have installed RC1 and still have a prompt for a username and password. Do zou have a workaround.

There is no work around.
You will always have such a prompt.
This is normal.
You can set passwords at boot time using the boot option secure
boot: dsl secure
or after you have booted up with
$ sudo passwd |
