Instead of a thumb drive its a usb-connected 60gb hdd but i have one partition of the 3gb with fat32, so then i followed the instructions to enable me to boot dsl-n, syslinux works and in the end, this bit came up: Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(1,3) Back to top hotplainrice Joined: 14 Oct 2006 Posts: 3 Posted: Sat Oct 14, 2006 6:46 am    Post subject: The mistake is my own doing..
