I am running DSL off of a CD ROM. I want to get to the SAM and SYS file to copy it and paste it into a floppy. I forgot my windows password and I have ALOT of important files I need to backup.

You should be able to see your Windows drives in emelFM as hda1, hda2, hda3, etc.

You will not be able to write to the drives if they are ntfs but you will be able to copy files from them to another driver, USB stick, etc

You need to use the emelFM program - similar to the Windows explorer - which is the "filing cabinet like" icon on the desk top.

Navigate in emelFM to /mnt/hda1 then right-click on it and chose "mount"
