Robert, I too could not get a5 to boot. The md5sum was correct. I burned it at 8x. I tried it first on my desktop which is an AMD XP2000+, Biostar motherboard with Via chipset. Next I tried booting it on my Epia 5000 with the same no-go. Both times the screen showed the Boot: as though it would boot from the disk but then the next screen showed GAG, my bootloader on both machines. I reset the computers and the same happened again. Hope this info help a little. In time dsl-not will be a great little OS. |

I doubled checked and everything looks fine.
I even downloaded from ibiblio.org and burned another cd.
Everything checks out fine.
Others are running a5 as well.
Are you sure that these computers can boot an isolinux version?
Maybe set burn speed down to 4. That is what I must use. |

Ok looks like I am not the only one having probs, I have now downloaded n.a5 from 3 diferent mirrors, still no sign of any booting, both my pc's go straight into windoz as if no disc was present, pc1 is AMD 1800 xp, pc2 is P2 233 both have booted n.a4, and just about every live linux distro going, will try burnig at a very slow rate as suggested.
will post result later. |

Ok so I burnt the iso at 8x which is the slowest I can go here, and still no linux booting at all, I will now download from ibiblio.org as "roberts" says he has checked that one, will report back later.
never spell windowz correctly, it doesn't deserve the respect.

There is something wrong for me either, it does not boot with the 'a5' iso.
It has always worked with previous builds of dsl-n |
