Thanks for dsl-n John & Roberts - as I think I may have implied in a few old posts on the dsl forum, a 2.6.x micro livecd along these lines had to be inevitable - it's obviously good that this one comes with the benefit of all that dsl experience behind it! And I like the name too.
One question - what exact version of Knoppix is it derived from? (I'm guessing 3.8.something?) |

Applications and libs are predominantly from Sarge? |

Yesterday I went looking for info on Knoppix3.9 - I'd assumed Sarge.
But the following two links indicate that Knoppix3.9 is Sid-based except for KDE and OpenOffice:
Can't seem to find the actual release nores for knoppix3.9 - the link on the distrowatch announcement just goes to the Knoppix home page.
If it's Sid that's even better. |
