hi,
I'm thinking about doing a DSL-N HD install on my older laptop which i use during travelling.(PIII 500MHz, 256MB ram)
Right now it has ubuntu running, but it's a bit heavy for that laptop.
So i think DSL-N is perfect for me. I've booted it from cd and it really looks nice. The only problem i have is i can't get my wireless working on it.
The card (ralink RT2500 chip) is recognised, iwconfig sees the interface, but i can't get an ip assigned to it.
I really need wireless during my travelling, so i'd like to have it working from the live cd before i do a hd install.
Any suggestions?
Many tnx

Native driver support for this card require a non SMP kernel.
So no luck getting a native driver. However, I have read in the knoppix forums and ndiswrapper support site that this card will work with ndiswrapper. |

I don't really like ndiswrapper, is there any other way i can get this card working under dsl-n without ndiswrapper? |

Maybe recompile the kernel with the SMP support turned off? |
