|
|
I am having a problem with my Lucent Winmodem with 0.1 RC1. When I went through the config, it detected serial ports 0 and 1. It defaulted to manual config. I did that and entered /dev/ttyS14 for the modem, like in regular DSL. I tried connecting, but it didn't dial. What should I do to get it working? |

As far as i know, Winmodems won't work with Linux. |

DSL-N does have support for Lucent WinModems.
During boot you will see if it is detected and a link to /dev/modem is automatically created. |

Lucent Winmodems automatically supported in DSL-n? Awesome! I have at least one of those. |

I have one of those Stratitec Winmodems commonly found at Wal-Mart. They work very well with DSL and DSL-N. Also, they say "Linux" right on the package. |
