Hello. I've booted DSL as a live CD. If I interpret what I'm seeing correctly, the live CD has a directory for an app I had installed at one time. If I'm not crazy, how could this have happened? (I ain't complaining, as perhaps it represents my first case of remastering a CD!)
BTW I'm talking about DSL-3.0 RC1 (I didn't want to register a second userid to ask this question). |

dsl puts your settings in ramdisk so you can add stuff to use with the live cd. it will all be gone on reboot though unless you save it somewhere permanent. also dsl is able to use cheat codes, for example if you have enough ram you could use the cheat> dsl toram < which would copy the cd to ram and run from there freeing up your cd. to see more cheat codes hit F2 or F3 at start. make sure you read dillo that pops up at the start, those are short instructions.
also please don't be lazy, register and ask your questions in the right forum, otherwise you might not get your questions answered or even possibly get flamed on for posting in the wrong place. there is a right way and a wrong way, do the right thing. |
