User Feedback :: Can not boot from disk

Hello,

I can run DSL 2.2 from the live CD on my TI Extensa (2 Gb disk space, 16 MB RAM, Pentium 75 - 175 Mhz). I then did a LILO frugal installation on my HD (after having partitioned it with CFDISK) and it does not boot from disk after I restart. I can boot from the live CDC with the option dsl fromhd=/mnt/hda1 but impossible to boot directly from the hard disk !!!! Lilo starts up fine but next I get an error 0XF9. Doesn anyone know what this means ? and how to solve the problem ? I tried nearly everuthing I could think of but without success. Regards. Peter

By the way , I have the same problem, whatever the distribution (also with slackware and other...)
Problem solved by restoring the default parameter for the BIOS, the option "larger disk support" was changed from no to yes and it solved the problem. :;):
