User Feedback :: colors are messed up on the internet

i tried all the vga settings under one of the screen reolutions and it didnt fix the colors.

pleease help it realy annoying, also when i installed to harddrive i used grubal

Which screen resolution did you try? The drfault is 800x600, so that's probably OK, but you may need the cheat code fb800x600 to get you started. You probably also need to rerun xsetup again at this point. After you boot, ctrl-alt-backspace to get out of X then type xsetup.sh That will start the script to setup X again. I'm guessing you need a frame buffered 800x600, but I could be wrong since you don't specifiy which IBM you have.

i figured out what ibm i have now: ibm thinkpad 600E

so can you please help now that u have that info! :-)

also i started doing some color test to see what colors are messed up, the first colr is what it should be the second is what it shows up on my linux:

blue = green

green = red

reed = blue

yellow = pink

Boot with dsl vga=788 and see if it works. The spec page for the 600e says it has a Neomagic with 2.5 mb of sgram.

i tried the 788 and the colors work good now, but the screen is shifted to the left and dose not come all the way down, and everyhtign looks a bit blurry
