User Feedback :: Booy Live CD vs Floppy
Yes, you can use a pendrive as a backup/restore drive. Just put the drive name (usually it's sda1) in the field after you click on the backup/restore button in the myDSL panel.
The syslinux version because of size limitations of the boot.img does not have usb boot time modules.
I would sugest that you try the waitusb boot time option to see if that will allow time for all of your usb devices to register and therefore be recognized.
syslinux works fine with the usb hub. Just like the floppy boot.
The line that was missing from the syslinux was the following:

I tried waitusb with dsl2.2b. It did not work with the hub.
I should mention that the usb sticks work with 2.2b if they are plugged directly into the machine and not into the hub.
Thank you for all the help. I am sure I will be needing a lot of it.
can you mount them manually?
eg.
mkdir /mnt/usb
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb
__
What is the graphical mounter? Where can I find it?
I am a newbie but will try to answer your questions.
The graphical mounter is the thing in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
If I use 2.2b and the hub, the usb sticks are not recognized. It is a though they were not there.
