Excellent distrobution :) works amazingly well for >=50mbs on CD, it is able to detect my usb modem which is really nice :) How does it do that? (package name, app name, :) heh at least something) :D Thx for the great distro
Well DSL is based of KNOPPIX so its safe to say the KNOPPIX hardware autodetection script...so it might be a better idea to ask the guys at KNOPPIX

I would guess that it uses the lsusb command or the contents of one of the directories in /proc.
