User Feedback :: Frugal frustration

I love DSL but can't yet get a working frugal install. Is there a "frugal install for dummies" how to? My problem is getting the programs I add from mydsl to show up in the fluxbox menu.

Which particular programs? Not all of them will show up because they are not all X based.

I also feel frustrated about frugal install, is this the default for USB install as I see the 'frugal' on the default startup script.

OK, I understand about the non X based apps. Where should I download the mydsl apps on a frugal install? Thanks.
