User Feedback :: Boot issues

Hi,
Ive flirted with (SuSe) Linux briefly but have come across a problem with booting DSl from CD.

I get the DSL screen, then whether I use a boot command or not it hangs at either the "loading the kernel" or just goes to a black screen.
Also I cant find the md5 sum text file anywhere at all.
Any help would be appreciated.
