User Feedback :: Frugal and regular HD install
Wats the actual difference between frugal and HD install.
Which is advantageous??
Frugal is small just like running from cd, hd install is like a small debian system it's not compressed like frugal so it takes alot more space(250-300mb). Frugal takes awhile to get use too. hd is kinda like any linux install.
u mean frugal is slower since compressed( thats the only difference).
right??
It depends on how you run it. For instance if you have enough ram you can run it with the toram option. I don't know if you can still do that with hd. I just run mine in ram and keep my settings and stuff on a usb key. I find it's a lot easier just to load from cd and not have to worry about updating or my system getting messed up.
