User Feedback :: Help with boot freeze

Hi, I downloaded ISO and burnt to cd using CDXPburn pro. I reset my boot order to boot from cd and it works until it gets to locating my pci card and its says "loading cardmgr" cursor is flashing for about 5 seconds then stops and the load goes no further.

If anyone can help me.

Try booting with nopcmcia and see if that works. If not, try failsafe.

Then you could try to narrow down the problem using other boot codes (I'd check the power optionis next)

I have Tried booting with nopcmcia and it still does not work.

I am very new to Linux ........ and I do not understand fail safe ?

It's like booting with nopcmcia, "failsafe" is just another bootcode
check out the wiki page for more info.

Aways when you have booting problems try to work around it with boot options (aka. cheat codes).
