i just recently installing DSL on a 1995 P233mghz 32mb ram 3 gig hard drive and it ran rediculously fast the, i was curious once i have either just booted off the cd image of DSL or booting from a hd lilo or grub boot, could i possibly remake or remaster a new DSL bootable cd image, with with only the software i want on remastered image? for instince i dont have much use for some software soch as any of the remote desktop, remote ssh, and web or ftp servers and various other software i can do without......If your serious, start with this: http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Knoppix_Remastering_Howto This should give you a general picture of what your getting your self into ;-)
thank you ramik that helped alot, once i have installed DSL to my hard drive as a debian linuxos it takes up about 120-150mb , thats with alot of software i dont want or will never use, what is the package manegment in dsl so that once the OS in installed to the hard drive i can uninstall or remove some of my software i find least usefull such as Rdesktop, Siag, SMBclient aim/gaim/yahoo messenger, ssh remote server, ftp http servers, just to name a few i want to start from allmost no good software installed except for a damn small linux GUI box.
