User Feedback :: New to DSL, works great

Hello,

I've just started running DSL on a previously defunct HP Pavillion laptop via a live CD.  I don't currently have a functional laptop hard drive around so I'm limited there.  I'm going to scrounge one up, do a hard drive install and have turned a paperweight into my linux toy.

I've managed to hang things up once - simply by messing with everything accessible.  Otherwise I've had total stability and no configuration issues at all.

Thanks!

Got my wireless card and it booted right up.

Just gets better and better.  As soon as I get a hard drive I'll actually have a functional computer....

While you're looking for a hard drive use an inexpensive USB stick drive.  I've seen 1 GB USB drives for less then $20.
