User Feedback :: New release ? When ? :-)

I don't want to push, but as I know now, that there is currently no DSL, which is fully working on my new computer with SATA support and NVIDIA onboard network card support, I would like to know the current state on developing.
Will there be a new release candidate soon with a kernel update ?
Thank you in advance for this information.

Yes. However I expect a longer than usual RC cycle, as I personally do not have all this fancy new computer stuff to test with. I will be counting on those in the community who can, to help create and test modules.

We will do so :)

Thanks

Looking each day for a new test version :-)
Don't want to wait so many further days in order to know if the new DSL version will run on my machine or not.

Is there another live-cd-distro with a newer 2.4.31+ kernel which I could test in the meantime ?
I would like to test, if my SATA drives and my onboard-network card will work with a newer 2.4.31+ kernel.

Is it possible to run the " Slackware " distro directly from CD or does this have to be installed first ?
