User Feedback :: DSL4 and PXE

Hi all

From what I can see there is no "frominitrd" in DSL4. I think this was invented a long time ago and does involve a modified linuxrc. I dont know why, but that lovley little fix never made it into the "original" DSL, did it? Why?

The initrd edition has been created for the last several versions of DSL including DSL v4

thx, i got the pxe work.

Now the problem that i encounter is that i cannot do the hd installation using the pxe.

I boot into the gui
and i choose the
DSL->tool->HD installation.
After i went through everything. The DSL still haven't install.

Help.

Basically what i really want is DSL installed to the HD using PXE(no usb, no floppy, no optical drive)

With the initrd edition of DSL the entire knoppix image is packed into minirt24.gz.
How would this starting configuration help a tradtional hard drive installation?
I guess I should not allow that particular option. Sometimes, it is just too much to try to maintain too many editions each with varying options that would make sense.
