Any way to default this?

Since it was mentioned earlier than Perl is the source language for the this forum system, it should be rather easy to make these choices the "default".

It might even be possible to fix the defaults by merely rearranging the records in a table somewhere.

For example, if there is a table that contains these records:

All open forums
--------------------
User Feedback
myDSL Extensions
USB booting
DSL Ideas and Suggestions
DSL Embedded
HD Install
Multimedia
Games
Networking
Laptops
Apt-get
X and Fluxbox
Apps
Printers
Site News
DSL Tips and Tricks
water cooler
Linux and Free Software
News
Hardware Talk
Programming and Scripting
Events, Lugs, and Get-Togethers
Cool Things

and you rearrange the order so that All forums is selected by default, etc.

But only the forum maintainer can do this.
