User Feedback :: DSL as proxy for Windows(tm)

Worked great with a good selection of software where i might use flwrite and siat on my other distros. I agree rtf should be the default format for Linux word processing.

By the way:

Damn Small Linux,  a complete GUI Linux of 48mb claims it can run embedded (simultaneous) inside Windows from e.g. a USB Pen drive.

I believe DSL then could be used as a proxy for Windows XP with exceptional security?

This would be a very bad thing to believe bud

The "client" or imbedded OS takes on the vulnerabilities of its "host" OS..thus the linux inside the windows is just as insecure as windows itself

I recommend a firewall distro called SmoothWall Express 2.0 and its only 33Meg..(just not a LiveCD distro)

If you need a light server distro (w/ capabilities of acting as a firewall/gateway, but not as secure as a dedicated firewall ONLY distro) then ClarkConnect would be good

Hope that helps
