User Feedback :: Noise is gone!

I becomed crazy with my noisy laptop, now with dsl i write this without fan noise.

I have noticed this as well with my laptop. With win98 and Xp the fan was on a considerable amount of time. With DSL I hear it very (and I mean very) seldom. Great work.

even better : now with usb booting i take off my noisy hard
disk from the laptop, tank you.

does anyone know why this is. is your cpu gettin warm. i think it would be nice to see a temp gauge and a settable thermal switch. i like my work cool .. dunno.. nevr seen 1 b 4 . thought it was good idea..

Well if it has its own thermal fan then its not kicking on as much because M$ might have drivers that control it differently...or perhaps the system load is lightened because you arent running a crap OS anymore...who knows
