User Feedback :: I can't boot from CD
I already try my DSL LiveCD in a different machine and it works good (HD install on a 200mhz pentium with 128mb of ram, it runs slower than i thought it would, i wonder why?) anyway, I have an ASUS A8V-E Deluxe mobo (1008 bios update) with a AMD® Athlon™ 64 3000+ and 1GB PC3200, i've already used knoppix v3.9 and it worked fine. The problem is that once i boot from the CD all that kernel stuff appears and right after that, when the GUI is supposed to show up, the screen goes black and that's it. No matter how long i wait nothing happens. Can anybody help me here? any BIOS settings I must have in mind or something?.
I want to have an USB DSL version so i can go anywhere and wash brains around there showing this amazing 50mb linux distribution. (wash brains=lavar cerebros, no se si se escribe así)
I also used the same video card that i have on my pc in the old and dusty pentium 233mhz and it worked. So it shouldn't be a video driver issue, right?.......
