User Feedback :: Dsl 2.0 release ...no way to boot !!!

i just download the new iso dsl 2.0 release ... and no way to boot and run it as usual ... i don't know why ...

Could you gave me some explanations ?  am i the only guy ?

thanks in advance

Did you check the MD5SUM before you burned the ISO?

If the other versions worked, there's no reason why this shouldn't - in fact, I'm using a freshly burned DSL 2.0 (standard version, not syslinux) to write this, and it's really running well on an ancient box (P233MMX, 64MB RAM); it even outruns the installed system (which is an already optimized one, Zenwalk 1.3 - not the worst of Linuxes out there...).

You might also want to use the syslinux version - maybe there's some issue with GRUB on your test system you didn't run into up to now...

I had problems with grub on a couple of installations of dsl, now I stick to lilo. Also if one tries to do a hard drive installon dsl 2.0  while running in dsl toram, no modules get loaded, The machine is looking for module dependancies from the 2.4.26 kernal while it is running a 2.4.31 kernal. No scsi,no network card modules loaded. I had no problem in installing to hd when i was in regular mode. just booted with enter. Great distro, I am runninbg a 500mh celeron on a hp motherboard with a netgear net card with 14g hd and 1 30g hd. 392mb of ram and on cable it screams Dillo actually downloads with 2.0, I had problems before 2.0.   Marty
Quite a few modules were cut from 2.0 to make room for the new kernel, including scsi support.

You can get those modules in the modules_cut.tar.gz.

Put the modules you need in the modules/ directory of your boot media and they will be automagically probed and set up, just as if they were in the base iso.

Sorry, I'm new. Where can I get the modules_cut.tar.gz ?
What do you mean by "modules/ directory of your boot media"?
Where is that directory?  (Currenttly I have a live CD 1.5, and a frugal Grub install)
Thanks.
