Ok, so after replacing .xinitrc with the one from /etc/skel my whole system was a mess, it started up with jwm as the window manager but the keyboard wouldn't work, and the mouse could move around on the screen but I couldn't click on anything. So I CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE'ed out of there, put the .xinitrc back to how it was(I backed it up) and now X won't even start.
Soooo, I've trashed the HD and I'm reinstalling from scratch. A warning to all: Don't install icewm!!!

Amen to that, the current icewm package utterly screws up an otherwise working 2.2 setup! Just RUN AWAY from icewmWhen you say "the current icewm package", to what are you referring? The most recent is a UCI in testing, which does not touch your base system or personal files, so there should be no problems associated with that sort of behaviour. The main reason this UCI was built, other than the fact that i kinda dig icewm, is that the other icewm packages had what I'd consider unacceptable design flaws. These flaws have become more evident with recent changes to /home/dsl configs.
If there are flaws with icewm.uci, please post in the mydsl forums and i'll do what i can to sort them out.
