X and Fluxbox :: Installing XFree

Hi,

A few questions :
- is it difficult to install XFree (for remastering) on top of (or replacing) the current x server.
- does it allow the knoppix cheatcodes to work ? (for resolution / refresh rate)
- if not, how to reactivate it ?
- is it possible to use it as an option : not removing the current x server and still be able to use it and configure it like now.

As far as the cheat code part - no it would not allow cheat codes as the cheat codes are defined using SYSlinux and ISO linux
