X and Fluxbox :: Howto replace Xvesa with XFree86?

hi all,
due to the support of truetype, I want to remaster DSL and use XFree86 instead of Xvesa. In addition to "apt-get install xserver-xfree86", what should i do?

thanks, sorry if my english isn't correct.

Would like to know that too; from what I read DSL is very fast, except from the X performance. As I do not need Gnome/KDE that would make my system very responsive but still capable enough to do some decent X based programs.  Have not installed DSL yet, as I would like to know how this (and some other apt-get or other mechanism to expand DSL withsome usefull apps that I need).

Kind regards,
Aernoudt

Search the forums for xfree86 and install

I remember that Grim posted a pretty straightforward way to do this.

cbagger01: thanks for your reply!
Do you mean "apt-get install x-window-system" or something that i had missed?
???

I think that this is what I was thinking of when I replied.
