X and Fluxbox :: X server crached

hi,
After I updated fluxbox to v0.9.14, the X server crashed.
After I log in, it shows "waiting for x server to shut down".
What can I do to repair X server without reinstalling entire system?

"waiting for x server to shut down" is not a crash.  That's a normal exit message.

Please describe your situation so that your problem can be clearer.  If you haven't, please read the .info for that extension.

Some useful information you could provide:

* What specific type of DSL system are you running (live cd, frugal, embedded, debian-style)
* DSL version
* X version (xvesa, fbdev, xfree86), and if Xfree86 did you install from mydsl or apt or other
* How did you install Fluxbox (mydsl or apt or other), and what specifically did you do to run the new version

so..

DSL type: frugal
DSL version 3.01
XVesa
Fluxbox installed from mydsl

After installation I've clicked in menu WindowManager -> restart and when I rebooted the system, loged in I get message: "waiting for x server to shut down". I have no idea how to resolve it...

Is there a specific command to restart X server?

When you reboot the system on a frugal install, any extensions you've loaded are gone unless you save them to a persistent location and set up your system to load them automatically (read the "Getting Started With DSL" page that opens when you start DSL, and consult the DSL wiki).  If you've changed your .xinitrc file to load a new window manager, backed up and restored your personal settings, but have not kept your applications persistent, there will be no fluxbox 0.9.14 to run, and x will close.

Restarting X:
Exit your window manager. This will take you down to the linux console. Type "startx" and press Enter.
