X and Fluxbox :: xfree86 help

thanks guys.... but i don't have a knoppix CD.... i boot from a USB device and i do not have a HDD to copy it on.

also, i am not using a wide screen laptop, I'm using a PC with 2 screens and it is not an nVIDIA but when i installed it on windows i had the option to use nVIDIA software or ATI, i think.
so im not sure if it was special nVIDIA software to work with this card or nVIDIA is just compatible.

would it be easer to get some sort of (script?) to make the video card have it horizontally stretched across both screens?

thanks again!

EDIT: can i even have that setting if i get the Linux nVIDIA software?(horizontal stretch)

edit2: they should have a FL DSL (fully loaded damn small linux)
with the most popular apps and whatnot.... just an idea.

afaik you'll need to get at least your xfree86 extension working properly to do 2 screens (this is required before you can use the nvidia software)

Just take the sample "vesa" config and just try changing the Driver, if you haven't gotten it to work still.
