X and Fluxbox :: Need help getting video up

Have you tried downloading the XFree86 package, then using
an XF86Config-4 file pointing to the driver for your chipset,
which is included in the extension ?

search "linux for laptops" in google to find a suitable
XF86Config file for your particular model laptop..

Remember to read the .info file for instructions on how to properly
setup XFree86 , it is not a simple plug-n-pray operation.
