X and Fluxbox :: Fluxbox_0.9.11

The style you are using there is almostX, correct?  I had the same trouble with fonts on my theme (rogue), try replacing the font line with:
*font: -*-lucida-medium-r-*-*-*-100-*-*-*-*-*-*
AlmostX (and mine) only specified "acqui" as font, gave no sizing or anything like that.  Works fine with normal fluxbox, but it looks like the new fluxbox wants you to specify a size.  (I think my theme in the repository has been updated).

My theme also has the trouble of the white border instead of the black.  Haven't figured out what's causing it yet (haven't spent a great deal of time looking, though, as I only boot DSL every now and then - need to make a concerted effort to get everything up and running they way I like it, so I can use it more often!)

(PS EDIT) Oh, just read back a few pages, you ARE using almostX  :D .  Might help if I thoroughly read the thread instead of just tagging on the end... :p
If I remember correctly, I think I used the almostX style as the basic template for mine, tweaked most of it, but obviously hadn't touched the font part...

OK, found out what causes the "white border" problem in both my theme and almostX, it's because there is no "borderColor" specified;  add this, and the border works fine (border settings are usually down near the end of the file)

borderColor: #000000

Will try to send in my updated theme when I get the chance to repackage it.

Rogue...

I added the style file you sent me.....
...after I read this post  ..   :p

Seems it got lost and forgotten in my volumes of emails..

Sometimes a yell or a swift kick works!

Send me another if you need to, for the border correction.

Yay! Okay, fluxbox 0.9.11 works on my machine. The transparent menus and all are cool, but how do I make xterminal transparent? There wasn't an option for this, was there?
That depends on your x terminal...it has nothing to do with fluxbox.
rxvt doesn't have transparency, so check out the aterm extension instead.
