I had the same problem with Ctrl+Alt+Del in XVesa, and was unable to fix it until I upgraded the install to XFree86
I replaced Xvesa by XFree86 and now it is working fine.
Thank you 2pac_Shaker How do I enlarge the screen, so that rdesktop is in full screen? Open a terminal and type rdesktop -f (machinename) for full screen. rdesktop --help will also return you the full list of switches.
