X and Fluxbox :: Where is  XF86Config in DSL

Hi! i need change the file /etc/X11/XF86Config to play StarCraft in wine.

Where is the file? where is XF86Config in DSL???

Thx! :D

It does not exist in DSL.  The X server in DSL is configured in .xserverrc

For gaming you may need to install the XFree86.dsl extension, or apt-get the XFree86 Debian package.

Help :S

I have no experience with apt-get, so I'm not sure what the trouble is. It could be that you need to change where packages are searched in order for it to find the right version (i believe there has been mention of this several times in these forums).
The simplest solution would be to try the XFree86.dsl extension

Use the XFree86.dsl extension if possible. XFree86 in Debian is actually a whole bunch of different packages and I believe those in "oldstable" (where DSL apt-gets from by default) are older than what's in the XFree86.dsl extension.

Unless you're using a non-Frugal HD install, I can't recommend using apt-get in DSL unless you really know what you're doing. You need to know both Debian and DSL pretty well to make sure the auto-dependancies don't clobber something important or bring in a ton of packages that you don't really want.
