X and Fluxbox :: X don't start

Hello!
I have an old computer. That's it: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf....ble=no&
. I can acces to the command line with the command "dsl 2", but when I try to start the X server, the computer stops and don't go forward. I tried to change the video driver, to disable the apm, but i had no succes.
Is there anybody who can help me?
Thank you

Hi Alex,

could you - in console mode directly after boot - type in:
  dmesg | less
this should list the kernel messages during boot. Look for messages on video cards or video modes. Maybe this gives us a hint about the driver used or missing and what's going wrong with your video card. And hopefully someone in this forum will know the right answer.

Thank you so much for the support

Does

dsl vga=normal xsetup

work?

Try some various XVesa display resolutions and see if one will work for you.
