X and Fluxbox :: Removing fluxbox?
Hi folks,
I had a look on the forum but couldn't see the answer to this. I hope i didn't miss anything.
Ok, so if you prefer a different wm and have switched to using one is it possible to remove fluxbox and how would you go about doing so?
/usr/bin/fluxbox is the executable
/usr/share/fluxbox is system-wide configs
/home/dsl/.fluxbox is user configs
/etc/skel/.fluxbox is user configs for restoring defaults or adding new users
Delete these files and directories and you will completely remove the program. There might be some issues with installing mydsl apps after doing this since the installation usually wants to write to /home/dsl/.fluxbox/menu, but i'm guessing it's nothing serious.
Thanks! I won't get to try this straightaway but i'll lrt you know how i get on.
Corny as it sounds I'd just like to say how much I appriciate the help I get in forums. I'm a noobie when it comes to linux, and changing from windows can be intimidating since linux isn't always so obvious but I've always found that people are willing to help.
Thanks again.
