If there's a driver for it, it will probably create a new device to /dev....
You then mount that...

edit: it's a scsi drive, so the device will be sda? and if it's an Iomega one, the correct driver is ppa (modprobe ppa)...

Zip drives are supported and you can even boot DSL from a zip drive.
