Other Help Topics :: memory key DSL boot issues
Everytime I try to Mount KNOPPIX to retrieve:
ehci-hcd.o uhci.o usb-ohci.o usb-storage.o usb-uhci.o usbcore.o
Using the command:
insmod cloop file=PATH/KNOPPIX && mount -t iso9660 /dev/cloop /cdrom
so I can make a bootable usb memory key, I get this error:
"Using /lib/modules/2.4.20-xfs/kernel/drivers/block/cloop.o
/lib/modules/2.4.20-xfs/kernel/drivers/block/cloop.o: init_module: Invalid argument
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters. You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg"
I am following the walkthrough given at:
http://rz-obrian.rz.uni-karlsruhe.de/knoppix-usb/
Now please be light on me i am a linux n00b
Also another question.
If I wanted to add my own NES roms to the bootable DSL would I have to do it while I have KNOPPIX Mounted and add them to their appropriate directory for TuxNES then UnMount it afterwards?
And one last question, I can format the USB key in FAT no prob, is it necessary to format it again with mkfs.vfat? If so, how do I do this?
Did I already mention I am a Linux n00b?
Any input on this is VERY much appreciated.
