Other Help Topics :: cant booot from cd

i made my bios boot from cd.
when i boot from the cd it shows the first screen and writes:
"boot: "
what should i do, i have absolutly no background in linux.

Hit the "Enter" key.

Or type in "knoppix" (without the quotes) and then press the "Enter" key.

Also, if you get a blank screen then, try again, and when "boot" comes up, immediately type "knoppix" (just the k will hold the boot up for you).
boot: knoppix vga=normal
The vga=normal should stop you from going to a blank screen.

ok i have a downloaded copy of DSL and i am wondering what the emulation i should use is? is it none,is it 1.4, or 2.80?
