How do i install DSL so i KNOW that it will be a dual boot setup?

you need a 'partition manager' such as 'grub' in order to dual boot.
there are many others.

I think you mean boot managers/loaders not partitions.

In the Wiki, there's a section on installing DSL from a live CD. Do basically the same thing, but add new partitions for linux. then change the hda1 to hda3 and hda2 to hda4, and when you install Grub, say you want to dual boot.
