Other Help Topics :: Burning discs

Hi there,

Has anyone managed to burn CD-Rs/CD-RWs using the bashburn or any other program on a laptop writer drive? ???

The bashburn scripts appears to pick up the drive correctly but doesnt want to work.

Any help would be appreciated.

(P.S.: CD-RW drive here is a Sony CRX700E)

Give GCombust a try. It may set some command line options that are not used by bashburn.

Takes less than 5 minutes to install, even on dialup. The install script is here:

I've had good luck with BashBurn but some functions refuse to work when BashBurn is linked from the menu.
If the binary is executed directly from MC, it works fine.
I also use Gcombust, the only problem with it is that it can't do multisession tho that may be fixed now. I use multisession so I can save my settings to the same cd.

Sorry for the late reply I've been rather busy with uni work. Once I have some more time or have cased the miniPC, I will have another go with the cd burner..

Cheers all
