Other Help Topics :: implementing touchscreen

The short and sweet answer is:

If your touchscreen uses the USB PS/2 or Microsoft "Intellimouse" protocols, then your touchscreen should work fine with DSL.

Otherwise, you could be in trouble.

Also I don't think if I addressed any of your comments you would be in any better position to quote (at least I wouldn't).

What?  No, seriously--what?

The idea was to have people who believe they have the skill set to contact me to discuss further offline and not tie this forum up.

Yeah?  Well, what skillset would that be?  Coding in C? Perl? Python? Bash? Would the applicant be required to program any aspect of the interface you wish to implement, or just help you set up Linux on an exotic piece of hardware?  How would somebody know if they had the skillset you require from your post?

If you just want somebody who knows their way around Linux, pretty much anybody who answers a lot of questions in these forums can help you.  Cbagger, ke4nt1, hasty and several others all know their stuff and can help you get your project (whatever that may be) working.

I wasn't trying to be a dick, I'm sure anybody here that knows me can tell you when I'm being a dick.  I was trying to be helpful and elicit some more information so that somebody who has the skillset you require might be interested.  Hell, I might be able to help you but I have absolutely no idea what you want to do and so far what you have detailed really isn't all that interesting (see that's me being more dick-like).

What has coding got to do with it? I didn't ask for any codind.

Have had some useful ideas and comments already.

Let's not bog the forum down with this we can always enjoy a good "tussle" via PM.
