You might try to use dosfsck on it still. In the default mode it handles the drive as readonly, it can't do a thing to it without the -r or -a switches, so you at least would find out if there are errors.id guessed dosfstools.dsl wasnt on the iso, but it seems to have dissapeared from the mydsl browser.
lucky i have a copy elsewhere, just have to find it.ok, tried dosfsck and fsck.vfat and get more or less the same message.

i have tried both 1&2 and it refuses to create an fsinfo tab. even fsck.vfat -lva /dev/sda1quits soon after starting
