Hello,

does somebody know what one should do
in order to enable cyrillic support in DSL ?
I'am quite new to Debian Linux, so be so kind to
excuse my lack of knowledge ;-)

What have you tried? I would first try this:

From system menu:

WindowManager->Exit

From the command line prompt:
$ kbdconfig

Scroll down and try some of the Russian keyboard selections.
It seems that there are nine listed.

Then restart X by typing
$ exit
