Other Help Topics :: Need help booting from CD

I recently inherited an old HP (Pavillion 7125) from a friend as a "fee" for helping him move.  It runs at about 133mhz with 16megs of RAM.  I decided to try to set up dsl on it for fun.  That is all I really know about the box, except it had Win95 on it prior to my receiving it.

When I try to boot from CD (even in failsafe) I get a message about an EIP error and a kernel panic.

Any ideas what this means?  I have SuSe 9.0 on another computer but have never had any problems booting this system, so I haven't seen this error before.

I had the the same problem, I solved it by adding a few parameters which aren't described anywhere (but are with other distro's)
