This is typical behaviour for DSL, and a topic that has been covered a bigillion times. The system runs in RAM, so every time you reboot it reverts to its original state. Any files created will be vaporized. If you want to have applications loaded automatically, put the mydsl package in the base of the DSL installation...if KNOPPIX is on hda1, put the packages on the lowest level of hda1. The error is probably caused by trying to save to a read-only directory. |
