Apps :: Installing EMC?

im trying (without sucsess) to install EMS ( http://www.linuxcnc.org/ ).
neither of the 2 suggested ways of doing it works...

should i just get another, more complete distro? that would be a pity .. since i like the lightness of DSL...

Looks like for DSL you will have to compile it. You can always use puppy(the other distro) that there are packages for already.
