Apps :: Using a GPS Receiver

Hi,

I have a Tecra 8000 laptop and copied the DSL live cd onto the hard drive. I boot it using the boot floppy.

Is there any software that I can use to get a Magellan Meridian Gold GPS receiver to show position, waypoint, etc?

I tried installing Mapsend (Windows equivalent using wine), but it said there were not enough free resources...

any ideas are helpful
